For the period October 2012 to June
2013:
3 patriotism fairs
were
held in December, 2012 and
February, 2013 on the Brian Lara
Promenade, Port of Spain, and in
June, 2013 at the Gulf City Mall,
San Fernando.
The Flag in every home project was
implemented on a phased basis
with Phase 1, being the distribution
of 98,000 flags.
A PatriotismWeek was held from
March 19 to 24, 2013. This included
the first heritage walk around the
Queen Park Savannah.
National Patriotism Day was
observed on March 22, 2013.
All citizens were encouraged to
wear the national colours and
work places were also requested
to undertake one hour of patriotic
activities.
The “Unity in Diversity Radio
Competition” was held during the
period September 11 to 24, 2012
and there were
26 preliminary
winners.
Two days of prayer have been
held on September 21 2012 and
March 13 2013 and
approximately
twenty- five (25) primary
schools
participated throughout
Trinidad.
