PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME (RAPP)
This programme is a community-
oriented programme which seeks
to utilize the skills and experience
of retired persons to provide
assistance and supervision to low
school performers and out of school
adolescents between the ages of 12 and
16.

For the period October 2012 to March
2013:
282 participants were registered:
•
Of this total,
92%
showed
improvement in: academics/
grades; behaviour and self-esteem.
•
89%
of participants displayed
enthusiasm, creativity, and
initiative.
•
91%
fostered good and positive
relationships with mentors.
Other Achievements:
•
A self-esteem course was
conducted at one of the Centres.
•
Facilitators volunteered their time
and provided extra classes to
better prepare those participants
writing the SEA/CXC exams.
•
Two participants
from the
Couva Centre participated in the
Secondary Schools Soca Monarch
Competition.
The 3rd Annual Family Seminar
entitled ‘Restoring the Family’ was
held at the Belmont RAPP Centre
–
approximately 110 children and
adults
participated.
