2013,
•
Guidance and Counselling Services
were provided in all primary
and secondary schools.
19,332
secondary and 21,257 primary
school students have benefited
from Guidance services whilst
2,018 secondary school students
have received counselling.
•
Social Work Services have also
been implemented in all primary
schools.
1,205 primary school
students have benefited
from
this service for issues such as
aggressive behaviour, chronic
absenteeism, fighting, class
disruptive behaviour, relations with
parents and emotional distress.
Other Support Services:
•
Crisis Intervention Service was
provided for all primary and
secondary schools reporting a
crisis. Of the
350 crises reported,
100% were attended to.
•
Financial Assistance was provided
to 14 registered private Special
Schools.

14 After School Study Centres
have been established within
communities.
