of the Civil
Society Board
For the period October 2012 to March
2013 the following was achieved:
Two dialogue sessions were held
– the purpose of which was to
address constraints with respect
to implementation of the CSB - the
first was held at Chaguanas whilst
the second was held in Tobago.
These sessions resulted in
requests for five additional sectors
to be included within the existing
structure :
a. Persons with Disabilities;
b. Gender Affairs
c. Community-Based
Organisations
d. Credit Unions
e. First Peoples
A Registration Drive to facilitate
the implementation of an election
process was completed in April
2013. To date,
754 out of an
estimated 3000 CSO registered.
