ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMME
The Adult Education Programme
provides educational opportunities for
adults and out-of-school young persons
who have not graduated to further /
higher education.
The Programme offers remedial
education, introductory occupational
courses, literacy programmes,
family life education and leisure time
programmes.
It also allows participants to
develop skills that can increase their
employability, entrepreneurship and
enables them to make meaningful
contributions to the development of
society.

During the period October 2012 to
June 2013 a total of
4,989 persons
were registered for the programme –
1,011 males and 3,978 females.

The programme aims to address
the basic needs and development
aspirations of communities through
critical community intervention
projects.

SENSITISATION PROGRAMME
This programme initiative outreaches
to communities to provide platforms
for the dissemination of information
on social, economic and other issues
that impact upon the day to day lives of
members of local communities.
