Two (2) major programmes that are geared towards developing the professional athletes
of Tobago and developing new sporting activities are the Elite Athlete Development Institute and
the Sports Development Programme respectively.

Many hard courts and Recreation grounds will undergo major upgrade and refurbishment
works in 2014. Some of the improvements to be undertaken include::
•
re-surfacing of hard court and out field
•
fencing
•
lighting
•
application of acrylic colour coating
•
furnishing
•
procurement of exercising machines
