Strategic Priority – Health Care Services and Hospitals
Health/HIV Aids
85.
An investment of $27.4 million will be made in fiscal year 2014, to improve the quality
of health care services in Tobago. The major activities to be undertaken include:
the purchase of ambulances
continuation of the integrated data network to link health facilities in Tobago
construction of the Moriah Health Centre
expansion of District Dental Services to provide services at Charlotteville and Canaan
Health Centre
upgrade of Health Centres and purchase of equipment

An allocation of $1.5 million has also been provided for the Studley Park Waste Facility.
The works to be undertaken will include the completion of the stabilisation pond and completion
of the Leachate System.

The HIV/AIDS Substance and Abuse Programme will also continue with an allocation of
$1 million for awareness, testing and treatment programmes.
Sport and Recreation
88.
In fiscal 2014, with an allocation of $31.7 million the THA will continue the programme
of construction and upgrade of Sport and Recreational facilities. This would provide for the
successful development of talented athletes. The programme of construction includes the
following:
Goodwood Hard Court
Speyside Hard Court
Whim Hard Court
