Other major projects that will be undertaken in 2014 include:

construction of sea defense walls at Kendall, Argyle, and Speyside
•
river embankment work at the Roxborough River and
•
paving of Water Courses in Scarborough

The sum of $3.9 million has been provided to the THA for its computerisation
programme for the improvement of the information technology stock on the island of Tobago.
This will allow for the continuation of several activities including:
•
the Secondary School Computerisation Programme
•
roll out of the Integrated Human Resource Information System (IHRIS)
•
the process of information technology strengthening
•
the networking of the divisions of the THA including Education, Youth Affairs,
Sport, Community Development, Culture, Finance, Planning
Communication

The Ministry of Tobago Development has been allocated $1million for the
computerisation and networking of the Ministry for the execution of several activities including
the Implementation of an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and the purchase
of hardware and equipment.
