For fiscal 2014, the sum of $28.4 million will be provided to the THA to continue the
expansion of the Housing and Settlements Programme. These funds will be used to execute the
following projects:-
•
construction of six (6) houses and repairs to roadways at the Castara Housing Estate
Development
•
reimbursement to HDC for construction of housing at Adventure Housing Estate
Phase II
•
preparation of a land use plan; survey and developmental works for a green
community through the Special Land Development Programme at Windward, Tobago
•
revitalization of the Milford Court Commercial Plaza and regularization of NHA
projects at Bon Accord, Kilgwyn and Buccoo
•
construction of a generator room , purchase of a generator and fencing under
Roxborough Town Expansion Phase I
•
designing and construction of Rest Stop/Mini Plaza under Roxborough Town
Expansion Phase II
•
provision for infrastructure development at the Friendship Estate Land Development
•
provisions for Surveys / Deeds, infrastructural works and installation of utilities at
Adelphi Estate, Courtland Estate Land Development, Belle Garden Phase II,
Adventure Phase II, and the Shirvan Road Land Development
•
provision of Home Improvement Grants and Home Completion Programme to assist
needy persons to repair their homes
