120.
The sum of $21.6 million has been allocated in fiscal 2014 for continued construction and
upgrade of community centres throughout Tobago. The planned programme of activities include:
payment of retention fees for five (5) community centres at Les Coteaux, Speyside,
Lowlands, Bethesda and the Buccoo Integrated Community Development Centre
upgrade of Pan Theatres at Buccoo and Carnbee
plumbing upgrades, painting and landscaping works at Plymouth and Fairfield
demolition and construction of a multi-purpose facility at Canaan/Bon Accord
fencing, burglar proofing and landscaping works at Parlatuvier
completion of the community centres at Lambeau, Hope, Bloody Bay John Dial and
Betsy’s Hope
upgrade of infrastructure and electrical works at Mt Grace
reconstruction of the Belle Garden community centre
expansion of the Carnbee/Mt Pleasant Centre into a multi-purpose facility
upgrade of flooring and installation of air conditioning units at Scarborough
Youth Development and Entrepreneurship

The sum of $7.4 million will be provided for continuous Youth Development in Tobago
in fiscal 2014 THA will implement the following projects:
Youth Power Programme
Specialised Youth Service Programme
Mobile Youth Health Centre
establishment of Project Implementation Unit
expansion of Mardon House Youth Development Centre
