Social Rehabilitation Services

In fiscal 2014, an allocation of $1.0 million will be directed towards reforming youth
prone to juvenile delinquency and criminal activities under the Social Services and Prison
Integrated Network (SPINE). The funds will be utilised mainly towards the provision of social
rehabilitation services for persons who were incarcerated to prepare them for successful re-entry
into society and the provision of a Centre to accommodate the socially displaced persons in
Tobago.

An allocation of $0.4 million will be provided in fiscal 2014 for the enhancement of
Community Mediation Centres throughout Tobago. Community mediation services are critical
for engendering a culture of peace among communities.
