The THA in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources and the
Environment installed directional signs in the rain forest; water safety signs at beaches in Hope,
Kings Bay, Bloody Bay, Little Rockly Bay and Parlatuvier; and historical signs at Nutmeg Grove
Estate (Alma Estate) Mason Hall and Bloody Bay.

Electricity

The Tobago House of Assembly received an overall allocation of $0.9 million for its
Street Lighting and Rural Electrification Programmes and expended just over $0.2 million for the
fiscal year. The Tobago House of Assembly (THA) and the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity
Commission (T&TEC) continued to work collaboratively on illuminating streets and also
housing settlements within the sub-urban areas including the supply of electricity to residents in
five areas. The activities also included works to Mt. Pleasant Local Road, Bethellsda Road,
Dunveygon Road, and Store Bay Local Road which entailed upgrades from 75W to 150W
streetlights and also at Carnbee #1 with an upgrade from 150W to 250W. Approximately 42
new lights were installed from Canoe Bay Road to Cove Sub-station and a total of sixteen other
electricity poles were erected in new areas.
The Arts and Multiculturalism

The entire allocation of $0.5 million made for upgrade works to the Orange Hill
Community Workshop and Art Gallery was utilised for the initial outfitting and furnishing of the
workshop.
