The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) continued its
Improvements to Police
Stations
and
Improvements to the Police Service
programmes in Tobago which included
infrastructural works at the Scarborough Police Station and commencement of the procurement
of design services for the Old Grange and Roxborough Police Stations.
19.
The tendering process has been initiated for upgrade works to the Regiment facility and
Defence Force Reserves Facility in Tobago. Additionally, user briefs were developed for the
construction of Detachment Headquarters and Dormitory at Camp Signal Hill for the Regiment.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) continued its Improvements to Police
Stations and Improvements to the Police Service programmes which included such Tobago
projects as infrastructural works at the Scarborough Police Station.
Social and Rehabilitation Services
21.
A total of forty-five (45) persons of various ages were assisted through the enhancement
of the Community Mediation Centres throughout Tobago. The Community Mediation Centres
are increasingly being viewed as an option to settle disputes as evidenced by more cases being
referred to the Centre by the Magistrate’s Court as well as through self-referral by the general
public.
22.
The Probation Unit conducted the “Thinking for a Change/Family Remedial” programme
for probationers during the fiscal year wherein nineteen (19) persons completed training and
received completion certificates. Additionally, the Probation Hostel in Mason Hall provided
shelter and stability for eight (8) children between the ages of twelve (12) and eighteen (18)
during this fiscal year.
