• Reducing Youth Unemployment Levels in
Trinidad and Tobago
In collaboration with the Ministry of Gender,
Youth and Child Development, the Ministry
will implement Youth Boot Camps, an essay
writing and short video competition on youth
and productivity. It will also collaborate with the
Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training
for the preparation of a Career Guidance
Handbook for young people in preparation for
the world of work.
• Cipriani College of Labour and Co-
operative Studies (CCLCS) – Graduate
Tracer Study
In fiscal year 2014, the CCLCS will implement
a quality assurance exercise constituting the
collection of data from alumni in the form of a
graduate tracer study. The data gathered will
be used to guide the future development of the
institution.

• Establishment
of
Community-based
Business Incubators (Continuing)
In fiscal 2014 andbeyond, this programmewill be
expanded to the communities of Diego Martin,
Carenage, Chaguanas, Couva and Tobago
• Establishment of a National Enterprise
Investment Fund
The Ministry, in collaboration with the
Ministry of Trade and Industry, is proposing
the establishment of a National Enterprise
Investment Fund (NEIF) to facilitate the
development of enterprises throughout Trinidad
and Tobago.
• Green Enterprises Policy and Programme
Development
The Ministry is expected to draft a policy
regarding Green Enterprises and identify
new areas of opportunities for small green
enterprises.
• Implementation of the Fair Share
Programme (Continuing)
In fiscal 2014, the Ministry will engage in client
training, a marketing and promotions campaign
and programme development where necessary,
as well as the development of a database with
web access.
• Youth Entrepreneurship inGreen Business
Workshops
Infiscal2014,theMinistrywillhosttwoworkshops
aimed at driving youth entrepreneurship
through the development the development of
Trinidad and Tobago’s green economy.
• Co-operative Development Division
The Ministry proposes to further progress the
Co-operative sector as a viable diversification
strategy by:
• Promoting awareness of the Co-operative
Movement in Promoting Economic Growth
• Updating and revision of Policy Document
governing Co-operative Activities
• Enhancement of Value Chain Development
within the Co-operative Sector.
