The new policy initiatives for the 2013/2014
fiscal year have been categorised into the
following areas:
• Policy Development
• Cultural Facility Development
• Development of Cultural Industries
• Policy Development
The policy on Grants and Subventions falls
under the Policy Framework for Multiculturalism
and will guide the equitable distribution of
financial assistance to groups and individuals in
the cultural sector.
• Cultural Facility Development
• Development of Festival Spaces
This project aims to create functional festival
spaces in various areas of the country.
• The National Heritage Warehouse
The National Heritage Warehouse is a curated
storage facility and an interim exhibition facility.
It will house rotating exhibits and will be home
to a National Historical Society, Archaeological
Society, and Archivists Society helping to
facilitate the sharing of data among members.
• Development of Cultural Industries
• Arts Sector Project: The Development of the
Arts Industry and Personnel
• The Multicultural Project: Education and
Outreach to the Nation
• The National Arts Council

The following projects will be continued or
implemented in fiscal year 2014.

YOU
The Respect Me, Respect You initiative is a
programme aimed at addressing various types
of bullying within the school, home, workplace
and communities. Bullying via thorough the use
of communication technology is also approved
under this initiative. In the long term, the initiative
projects the creation of a caring environment
and reducing, if not preventing, bullying in
its various forms is envisaged. The initiative
includes a three pronged approach, which
will continue into fiscal 2013-2014 and would
involve a nationwide sensitivity and awareness
campaign utilising multi-media approaches and
community outreach workshops.
