PROGRAMME (YTEPP)
YTEPP provides training in career
enhancement services, inclusive of
numeracy and literacy skills, vocational
skills training and entrepreneurial and
attitudinal training. The main objective
of the Programme is to enhance
employability and self-employment
prospects of the youth population by
providing a high quality, cost effective
programme

For the period October 2012 to July
2013:
The Fifth Company Training and
Enterprise Academy was launched.
Courses being offered include
Child Care Attendant; Skills for
the Automated Office and Bread,
Cakes and Pastry Making
1,600 trainees graduated from
Cycles 25 (Retraining) and 37
(Youth Training).
These graduates
received the Caribbean Vocational
Qualification and National
Examination Council certificates.
200 persons
in Tobago graduated
from the 12-week Computer
Literacy training provided
through the YTEPP/USAID mobile
computer buses
315 students in Tobago
received
certification and special awards
after completing technical
and vocational courses. These
participants were part of Cycle 25
(Retraining); and Cycles 37 and 38
(Youth Training).
On May 6th 2013, an MOU was
signed with NEDCO to facilitate
the provision of loans to YTEPP
graduates of up to $15,000 for
small businesses.
