TUITION EXPENSES (GATE)
The Government Assistance for Tuition
Expenses Programme (GATE) is
managed by the Funding and Grants
Administration Unit of the Ministry
of Science, Technology and Tertiary
Education.
The Programme seeks to provide
affordable tertiary education to all
qualified citizens of Trinidad and
Tobago. Persons benefiting from the
programme are expected to provide
a period of national service linked to
the value of the grant. Widening the
access to tertiary education facilitates
the development of human capital,
supports the economic development of
the country and promotes social equity.
