EDUCATION FACILITIES COMPANY LIMITED (EFCL)
Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL)
was incorporated on March 11, 2005 as a wholly
owned State Enterprise. Its core responsibility
is to manage the projects assigned to it by the
Ministry of Education (MOE). This includes the
design, construction, maintenance, equipping
and outfitting of Early Childhood Care and
Education Centres (ECCECs), Primary Schools,
Secondary Schools and Education District
Offices.
The school construction programme is primarily
funded under PSIP/IDF. In addition to these funds
the company is currently utilising the proceeds of
a Bond which was issued by GORTT in 2009. The
Bond was initially for the construction of ECCECs,
but in 2011, the bondholders agreed to apply the
funding to other schools under construction in
order to prevent delays.
